On 11 March 2019, the European Commission launched the third Call for Proposals of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme with a total budget of around EUR 10 000 000.
Building on the positive experience of the previous schemes, the third call offers funding opportunities to African Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for the organisation and implementation of mobility of staff and students (master/doctorate) within Africa.
The overall objective of the programme is to improve the skills and competences of students and staff through enhanced mobility between African countries. More specifically, the programme seeks to increase the employability of students, improve the quality of higher education in Africa and strengthen the modernisation and internationalisation of African HEIs.
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme is funded under the Pan-African Programme of the EU and is managed by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), in close collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC).
The deadline for submission of applications is 12 June 2019.
