The Amani Africa Command Post Exercise officially kicked off on 20 October 2010 at the Headquarters of the AU in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. As a joint effort of the African Union and the European Union, the Amani Africa is designed to accelerate and validate the state of operational readiness of the African Standby Force.
